The beginning of my photography journey...
At 19 I started my career in the mortgage industry. I could have never imagined the path my career would take. I spent eight fulfilling years helping clients secure their dream homes, but something was missing. I longed for more time to pursue my own passions and dreams, and to be a more present mother to my daughter, Kaleigh.
In 2021, I made the decision to leave the mortgage industry and focus on being a full-time mom. It was a difficult choice, but one that I knew was necessary for the sake of my daughter and my own happiness.
As a stay-at-home mom, I found myself craving a creative outlet.
I wanted to do something that I could do while staying home with my daughter. That's when I picked up my first camera and dove headfirst into the world of photography. I learned everything I could, spending countless hours educating myself on all things photography, and eventually turned my passion into a business.
My daughter is my inspiration and often my model for my mini sessions. I love that photography allows me to be creative doing something I love, while also being present for all the important moments in her life.
As a professional photographer, my expertise lies in capturing beautiful moments through the lens of my camera, not in stringing together a blog post...I tried! But, I'm a firm believer in stepping out of your comfort zone and trying new things.
So, while I may not be a professional blogger, I decided to give it a shot and share my story. Who knows, maybe I'll even surprise myself and become a wordsmith in the process!
